For those in the know, the Infiniti Q70 is a leading light among luxury sedans. However, the Infiniti brand is perhaps less well known than some other high-end automakers.

Under the Hood
At this level of the car market, there's no excuse for a vehicle lacking punch under the hood. Both cars are very well equipped in this area, even with the entry level models.
The Audi's 2.0L turbo I4 engine produces a satisfying 248 horsepower and 273lb-ft of torque, providing enough grunt to tear up the highway with ease. However, the Q70's 3.7L V6 has a substantial advantage in the raw power stakes, pushing out fully 330 horsepower to deliver blistering performance under all conditions.
Both cars are fitted with a seven-speed automatic transmission, but offer different choices in the drivetrain. The Q70's rear-wheel drive will appeal to traditionalists, and combines with the generous output to produce a highly satisfying drive. However, the Audi's all-wheel drive will definitely win it support from drivers who value stability over sheer driving thrills.
Fuel Economy
As you'd expect, the Audi's lower engine power means it has the edge when it comes to fuel economy, boasting a combined rating of 9L / 100km. Nonetheless, the Q70's higher figure of 11.2L / 100km is by no means outrageous for an engine with such a high output.
Interior Features
As luxury cars, both of these models offer a plush interior experience with a wide range of upscale features. There are a few minor differences though, for example with the Q70 having cooled front seats as standard, an option that's unavailable on the Audi. On the other hand, the A6 offers rear air conditioning as standard, a feature that's missing from the Q70.
Driver Assist
Both cars feature a generous amount of driver assist tech, including blind spot monitoring, lane departure warnings, traction control, and stability control.
However, only the Infiniti gives the option of lane keeping assistance, while it also offers adaptive cruise control, a feature that's surprisingly absent from the Audi.

Both of these cars deserve their luxury sedan branding, and both will have their devotees. However, the Infiniti comes out ahead thanks to the sheer power of its standard engine, with the rest of the feature set proving that Infiniti can more than keep pace with their better-known rivals.
