2022 Infiniti QX50 vs 2022 Acura RDX

2022 Infiniti QX50 vs 2022 Acura RDX

The 2022 versions of the Infiniti QX50 and Acura RDX are excellent SUVs with powerful engines. Some may argue that they are comparable. However, their differences go beyond their similarities, depending on what the buyer is looking for and what appeases them.

2022 Infiniti QX50

The new Infiniti QX50 is more than a beautiful shape and fancy lights. The new model brings the luxury and efficiency one expects in an SUV and the powerful Variable Compression Turbo engine.

2022 Acura RDX

Acura RDX has gained popularity amongst SUVs since 2006. The redesigned version brings home more technological developments, the luxurious interior, and the sport-like exterior. Acura is updating this SUV for more comfort and ensuring that it offers full convenience to its users.

The two SUVs have similar exterior appearances, like the 19-inches wheels. Both automobiles have identical heights, and the RDX is just 3 inches longer than the Infiniti QX50. The main differences lie in the colour variations. The Infiniti QX50 has 8 different colours, including various shades of black and white. You can find only 7 different colours for the Acura RDX.

It’s easy to spot the differences in the interior of these two vehicles. The Infiniti QX50 is designed to better meet the space needs of the passengers, whereas the Acura RDX is more technologically advanced.

The Infiniti QX50 has reclinable seats that allow individual adjustment and are more comfortable than those in the Acura RDX. The QX50 offers a very quiet drive, which makes the ride more relaxing. As the RDX is more focused on technological advancement, its dashboard can seem a bit cluttered in comparison to the QX50 which offers a more simplistic, minimalistic aesthetic.

The upside is that both vehicles offer smart technology, which means you can use your phone on voice command.

Performance

Performance

The Acura RDX provides a 2.0-litre gas engine with 272 hp and 280 lb-ft torque. This vehicle offers a 10-speed shiftable automatic transmission, with a powertrain of 21 mpg on city roads and 27 mpg on the highway.

The QX50 has a 2.0-litre turbo engine that supplies 268 horsepower. Both vehicles have the same torque of 280 pound-feet. The QX50 adds a continuously variable-speed automatic transmission, which leads to a total powertrain of 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

Conclusion

The two SUVs may appear to be similar outside, but the true variation is in the interior and the performance of the vehicles. The key determinant is whether you are looking for greater horsepower (provided by the RDX) or a better gas mileage (provided by the QX50).
