Everything about the QX55 is new, as it is a brand-new model for Infiniti. While it shares a powertrain, suspension, and interior aspects with Infiniti's QX50 SUV, the QX55 features a bolder exterior design with a polarizing sloping roofline.

Design

The bold exterior of the 2021 Infiniti QX55 turns heads with an exclusive double arch grille featuring a new origami-inspired interweave design and digital piano key taillights. With angular curves and aerodynamic lines, the QX55's bold crossover coupe design drives conversation.

 

Many interior elements of the QX55 carry over from its QX50 cousin, and everything is high-end and well-appointed. The cabin environment is driver-focused and design-forward with attention to detail evident in every aspect. This unique asymmetrical design encompasses the driver in luxury.

Performance

Infiniti powers all models of the 2022 QX55 with a variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder (VC-Turbo) engine that delivers 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. It also accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. It is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission as well as all-wheel drive to provide excellent handling in all conditions.

Infotainment

The 2021 Infiniti QX55 features a dual-screen infotainment setup, with the top display providing navigation and the lower display functioning as a control for radio, media, and vehicle settings. The Infiniti InTouch dual display system features an 8.0-inch touchscreen on the upper level and 7.0-inch touchscreen below. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto offer quick and seamless smartphone connectivity.

Safety

Infiniti continues its pursuit of safe driving with the suite of driver-assistance features that come standard on the 2022 QX555, including forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and more. Infiniti even offers its ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode as an option.
