Infiniti QX60 reviews from our Dealership

The QX60 is a premium mid-size crossover SUV from luxury brand Infiniti. It’s the company’s best-selling model within the Canadian market, with a history stretching back to 2013. The lineup has recently been refreshed for 2020, and now offers even more attractive features for the upscale SUV buyer.

Powertrain and Performance

SUVs in this size bracket need a substantial engine to achieve respectable performance, and the QX60 more than delivers in this area. All trims in the range feature a 3.5L V6 direct injection engine generating fully 295 horsepower and 270lb-ft of torque.

All this hefty power is passed through continuously variable transmission (CVT) to full-time all-wheel drive.

However, unlike some CVT configurations, the QX60 offers a smooth and enjoyable drive with its four modes optimized for standard conditions, sports performance, snow, and low fuel consumption.

What’s more, the transmission also features optional an D-Step logic mode which can simulate a manual gearbox for a more hands-on feel while driving.

Fuel Economy

The V6 engine is a powerful one, but nonetheless the QX60 isn’t as thirsty as you might expect for its performance level, offering figures of 9L / 100km for highway driving and 12.5L / 100km in the city.

Safety Features

For 2020, Infiniti have equipped all trim levels with their advanced set of active safety features, including:

  • Blind spot warnings.
  • Forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection technology.
  • Predictive forward collision warnings.

And as you’d expect from a modern SUV, the QX60 is equipped with a full set of airbags covering all seven passengers.

Interior and Technology

All trim levels of the QX60 offer an impressive standard of interior comfort, even allowing for the model’s premium status. As standard, you can enjoy features including:

  • 8″ infotainment touchscreen plus dual LCD monitors.
  • Six USB charging ports, plus two full USB connections for smart devices.
  • Hands-free phone system with hands-free text messaging assistant.
  • Streaming audio over Bluetooth.

Standard audio is delivered through a six-speaker system, but on higher-level trims this is replaced by a Bose 15-speaker sound system with premium amplifier and inbuilt digital signal processing.

Infiniti QX60 Prices

The base-level Pure trim has a starting price of $48,995, rising to $61,695 for the top-line ProActive model.

Infiniti QX60 Conclusion

The Infiniti QX60 proves that seven-seater SUVs aren’t just about plain convenience and mass-market appeal. With its combination of high performance and exceptional comfort, the QX60 is well ahead of the mid-size herd.
